“Lucy conoce la Alhambra y su Albayzín” – Nono.
Performer: Antonio Diaz Fernandez
Pizzicato bass and voice drone.
Almost since I remember I have been dragging a bass where I walked. The cold London and its dirty streets brought me to Lucy’s broken wood, she has seen and experienced the beauty and pain of this human world already for longer than I will.
I offered her my meat and blood so she could walk, in exchange she shared with me stories of time, rosin and varnish. Days went by while conversating, to the point of forgetting time and space. Then she accepted me as her companion for a lifetime, curious about my
Granada and her sun.
Granada and her sun.
- No more rain! – she shouted.
My Albayzin with its slopes, tight streets and infinite stairs received her with joy and wood. The old house was surprised about our old bass. I stretched, Rinat slept.

Feel alive

Transformation
Performer: Kyra Stahr
My piece is about my discovery of self as
a musician; transforming from a singer, full of performance anxiety, to
a conductor, filled with confidence and joy, fueled by creating music
with others.
8
Work in Progress
Performer: Abby Guido
This piece is the conversation between my voice
and my mind. I have always felt like my voice, my instrument, was an
almost separate entity from my mind. Thinking and singing are almost two
different actions that happen simultaneously. This piece emphasizes my
journey and progress being made both intellectually and vocally as an
artist and the struggle to grow them both simultaneously.
9
A song of my body
David Lee
Performer: David D. Lee
I want to portray the inner voice with my body, expressing the deep
connection between my physical self and my voice as a vocalist. This
piece is a song that is sung with my body.
